What TapLoop Arcade is

TapLoop Arcade is a collection of six browser puzzle games: Arrow Garden, Sort Dock, Merge Meadow, Tile Pantry, Circuit Path, and Reflex Rings. Each game is small on purpose. A single level fits in a coffee break, a board meeting lull, or the five minutes before the next train. The whole arcade opens in one tab and weighs in at less than 100 KB of JavaScript, so it runs smoothly on a low-end laptop, a school-issued tablet, or a five-year-old phone.

What we believe casual games should be

We believe casual games should respect two things: your time and your attention. Respect for time means no energy bars, no daily login streaks that punish you for missing a day, and no pay-to-skip mechanics. Respect for attention means no autoplay audio, no intrusive push notifications, and no in-game ads that interrupt a round you just started. The TapLoop experience is the opposite of all that: open a tab, play one round, close the tab.

How the games are designed

Every TapLoop game goes through the same design loop. We start with a single mechanic, prototype it in a week, and play-test it with five to ten people who have never seen it. We keep the mechanic if a non-gamer can pick it up in under thirty seconds, and we cut it if the rule book needs a paragraph. The result is six games that share a vocabulary: a small board, a clear goal, an immediate feedback loop, and a path to mastery through practice, not through unlockables.

How the games are built

TapLoop Arcade is written in modern JavaScript with no runtime dependencies, served as static files from a small Node.js process, and cached aggressively by a service worker so the arcade works offline after your first visit. There is no analytics SDK in the games, no third-party font loaded from a tracking domain, and no data ever leaves your device for the gameplay itself. The single network call in a typical session is the ad impression, which you can opt out of in our cookie policy.

Who builds TapLoop

TapLoop Arcade is an independent project under the TapLoop Games brand. The team is a small group of designers and engineers who care about the same thing: making calm, well-designed software that respects the people who use it. We are not a venture-backed startup and we do not have a roadmap of acquisition targets. We build what we want to play, and we open-source the building blocks where it makes sense.

What we will not do

  • We will not require an account, an email address, or a phone number to play.
  • We will not run autoplay video ads, pop-unders, or sticky full-page takeovers.
  • We will not sell your gameplay data, your best scores, or your device identifiers.
  • We will not push daily-streak guilt loops or FOMO timers designed to pull you back.

How to get in touch

We read every email. The fastest way to reach a human is the contact page, where you will find a direct email address and a short form for bug reports, partnership ideas, and accessibility feedback. We typically reply within two business days.
