What is Tile Pantry

Each level shuffles a set of 8 icons — a gamepad, a target, a paintbrush, a music note, a star, a flame, a gem, and a four-leaf clover — into 16 face-down tiles. The icons are large and easy to read. The level is won when all 8 pairs are matched.

Rules

  • Tap any face-down tile to flip it over. The icon is shown.
  • Tap a second face-down tile to flip it.
  • If the two icons match, both tiles stay face-up and the pair is locked.
  • If they do not match, the tiles flip back after a short pause so you can study the placement.
  • Every pair of flips counts as one move, whether it matches or not.

Frequently asked questions

How many tiles are on the board?

16 face-down tiles at all times, arranged in a 4×4 grid. There are 8 unique icons and each appears twice.

What happens when I run out of moves?

The round ends. Your best score and current level are saved. Tap New round in the toolbar to start a fresh level 1 run, or click Next level if you have already cleared the board.

Is there a time limit?

No. Tile Pantry has no clock. The only pressure is your move counter.

Can I peek under a tile?

No. Tiles stay face-down until you tap them. The icons are large and distinct so a careful scan of the board is the only way to remember positions.
